NTV Swetha – many say she is the one who is attracting viewers to NTV – a leading telugu news channel? Popular TV anchor Shwetha or NTV Shweta as she is called by people of Andhra Pradesh is not just one among many TV ancors media houses have. Her beauty with brains is what attracts people and suddenly she has become a well known figure among people.

Many young boys in cutting across Andhra Pradesh (including Telangana!) are mad after her. In past what used to be the effect of Tollywood on young minds is soon getting replaced by TV actresses and TV anchors (news readers of the famous news channels) courtesy anchors like NTV Swetha and I News Roja. The day will not be away when we will have fan clubs and temples of the news anchors like NTV Swetha.

Rumpa Roy beats Priyanka Sharma to win Lux Perfect Bride, Rumpa Roy became the first-ever “Lux Perfect Bride” on Star Plus. Rumpa beat Priyanka Sharma, who has been the strongest contender to win this unique reality show. Also, Rumpa Roy got married to Hitesh Chauhan in a solemn ceremony in presence of their parents, friends and millions of viewers.

It is the first-ever real wedding on a reality TV show and kudos to Star Plus and the “Lux Perfect Bride” team to make it possible.

Although Rajbeer and Priyanka have been very consistent from the Day 1 and they showed strong commitment to each other, they could not convince Rajbeer’s father and other family members. That went against them and people voted for Rumpa Roy. Rumpa got a cheque worth Rs 25 lakh as prize money.

The concept of the show was to choose a “Perfect Bride” and the viewers did exactly the same. They chose Rumpa as the “Lux Perfect Bride” and she got married to Hitesh. It was a dream came true for Sudesh Rani Chauhan, who had a strong grip over the show from the very beginning and she also justified her confidence level.

It was a heart-breaking story for Priyanka Sharma. She has been most favourite and strongest contender to become “Lux Perfect Bride”. But, she lost the game in the last two weeks, after Rumpa-Hitesh took strong steps towards marriage, while she and Rajbeer could not move forward because of the hesitation on the part of Rajbeer’s family.

Hemant Brijwasi wins saregamapa little champs 2009 Winner defeating Yatharth Ratnum and Shreyasi Bhattacharjee the other two finalists. Hemant Brijwasi recieved 1,535,380 votes in the Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs on Saturday.

The grand finale of Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Littlel Champs was held at Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai with playback singer Shaan as the host. The final battle for the title was among Shreyasi Bhattacharjee, Yatharth Ratnum and Hemant Brijwasi.

Apart from singers Abhijit Bhattacharya and Alka Yagnik, who were judging the show all along, the Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs finale was also attended by Bollywood stars Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan and Asin Thottumkal who were there to promote their upcoming film ‘London Dreams’.

Aditi Gowitrikar divorce was discussed at Big Boss? Aditi Gowitrikar the Bog Boss Participant is in middle of a divorce case. According to reports Aditi Gowitrikar and husband Muffazal Lakdawala were separated eight months back. Muffazal Lakdawala has filed for divorce in March 2009. diti Gowitrikar and husband Muffazal Lakdawala were married for 10 years and have one son and daughter from their marriage. Aditi Gowitrikar is a doctor and a model by profession and has been winner of Mrs. World in 2001.

According to sources, Muffazal initiated separation and is currently living Australia. Aditi Gowitrikar has confirmed this but did not spell the reasons for their separation. Aditi Gowitrikar has avoided talk about this in the Bog Boss show.

She said that her husband Dhruba Mukherjee whom she had been in a marriage for 16 years was not able to cope up with her acting schedule and they would frequently have arguments.

Well all said and done Sach Ka Saamna was really a different serial compared to our normal soaps. We will sure look for the second series of Sach Ka Saamna.

On how she started wearing a rose

“The rose story is a very interesting one. I used to love flowers and roses a lot and had very beautiful flowers in my garden. One day, I was wearing a pink saree and when I looked around there was a very beautiful pink rose. So, I just put it on and read the news. There were a number of phone calls appreciating it. I felt very nice. The next day also, I put on a rose. But later on I did not care about it and there were many phone calls and letters asking why I did not wear a rose. So I began wearing the rose and it just became a habit, a part of me.”

RULES & REGULATIONS GOVERNING PARTICIPATION IN DANCE

PREMIER LEAGUE AUDITIONS

Multi Screen Media Private Limited (“MSM”) is organizing ground auditions (the

“Auditions”) for nation wide talent hunt across the country for its show “Dance Premiere

League” (hereinafter the “Show”). The Auditions shall be conducted by Cineyug

Worldwide (“Cineyug/Producer”) on behalf of MSM at the designated venues across the

cities and on specified dates more particularly mentioned in the list given below in

Schedule 1 (each a “Venue” and collectively, the “Venues”).

Terms & Conditions

1. Only those individuals who belong to the age group between 16 years to 30 years

as on September 1, 2009 can participate in the Auditions (the “Participant(s)”).

Participants, who are below 18 years on the date of audition, must be

accompanied by their natural/legal guardian.

2. Entry to Auditions is on ‘first-come-first served’ basis and subject to submitting a

duly filled application form and signed Release Form which will be made

available to the Participants at the Venue. Participation does not involve any entry

fee or cost for participation to the Participant. MSM shall not be responsible or

held liable for any travel cost/fee/other costs incurred by the Participants with

respect to the Auditions. Any instances of entry fee or cost being charged to

Participants for the Auditions should be immediately brought to the notice of

MSM on the following address and/or website:

3. Incomplete/unsigned applications or late entries shall not be considered for

Participation.

4. Participants shall carry their own audio CD which is in good working condition

for the purposes of rendering performance in the Auditions. It is advisable to carry

more than one audio CD in case of any failure in the functioning of audio CD at

the time of performance. Participants shall submit the audio CD to the team

deployed by Cineyug for Auditions. The Auditions shall be video-taped for jury

preview at a later stage, and the Participants will be short listed on the basis of

their recorded performance in the Auditions. The length of the song must not

exceed 2 minutes and it should be on an audio CD format. MP3 audio is not

accepted. The song choice must be of Hindi or regional language Indian songs.

All Indian songs available on standard Indian music lables are only acceptable.

For Participants submitting a medley, the songs must be edited properly. Un-

edited or badly edited songs shall lead to disqualification of Participants. At the

time of submission of audio CD, the Participants must write down his/her name,

the name of the song alongwith the album/film from which it is taken, and the

name of music company which has published the music of the film/album.

Participants are prohibited from playing music owned and copyrighted by Yash

Raj, Big Music and any international music labels for their audition performance.

5. MSM/Producer reserves the right to ask the Participant to perform a specified

song or song from a specified genre of its own choice. At all times during the

Audition, MSM/Producer reserves the right of veto over the choice of song, even

where Participants are permitted to select the song they wish to perform and all

songs selected by any Participant shall be subject to the prior approval of

MSM/Producer.

6. MSM/Producer has the right at any time to require proof of identity and/or

eligibility. Failure to provide such proof within a reasonable time could result in

disqualification from the Audition/Show. All personal details and information

requested by and supplied to the Producer by each Participant must be truthful,

accurate and in no way misleading. MSM/Producer reserves the right to

disqualify any Participant from the Audition in its sole discretion, should the

Participant at any stage supply untruthful, inaccurate or misleading personal

details and/or information.

7. Participants must be citizens of India residing in India. Non-resident citizens of

India are eligible to participate in the Auditions only for the team designated for

this purpose provided they hold a valid visa, passport, and other documentation as

may be determined by MSM and/or Cineyug. Audio tracks from international

music labels are strictly not allowed for use in performances.

8. Participants who are under any contract which will prohibit him/her from entering

into any management contract/performance recording contract and/or

merchandising contract are prohibited from participating in the Audition.

9. Participants should not have any criminal record and/or be declared as an

insolvent and/or of an unsound mind.

10. All Participants must carry proof of age and photo identity such as birth

certificate/ ration card/ driving license/ passport/ voter’ ID/ pan card for photo

identity proof.

11. A reasonable level of skill in dance is required to participate in the Auditions.

12. Only selected Participants will be notified by telephone/email/fax/letter about the

further rounds of participation and other details by the Producer, as reasonably

practicable after the Auditions. Decision of MSM in all matters pertaining to the

Auditions and selection of Participants shall be final and no correspondence in

this regard shall be entertained. MSM/Producer shall not be obliged to notify

unsuccessful Participants of its decision.

13. All Auditions will be subject to such timing stipulations and requirements as may

be determined by the MSM/Producer and MSM/Producer makes no

representations, warranties nor provides any undertaking to any of the Participants

that any or all of the Participants will be able to perform or audition at the time

and/or place in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in herein.

MSM/Producer shall neither be liable nor responsible for any damages, losses,

costs, expenses or otherwise suffered by any of the Participants in the event that

MSM/Producer is not able to permit the Participants to perform or audition in

accordance with any of the foregoing provisions.

14. All expenses incurred by the Participants in connection with the Auditions,

including but not limited to costume, make-up, travel & food expenses, shall be

the sole responsibility of the Participants. Participants shall not be given any

additional space like dressing room or make up room for change of costumes or

for make-up or for any such other purpose.

15. MSM reserves the right to change, modify, cancel or close the scheduled

Auditions at any given time without incurring any liability whatsoever.

16. By entering the Auditions, the Participants waive all copyrights, rights of

publicity and any related rights and consents to MSM’s right to picture, tape or

portray him/her as a Participant in the Audition, and to exhibit this material in any

and all media now existing or hereinafter created, including without limitation

television, film, radio and print media, without any compensation whatsoever for

advertising and publicity purposes, except where prohibited by law. The

Participants also consent to MSM’s right to use his/her name, voice or picture, or

the content of his/her Auditions.

17. Participants grant MSM irrevocable consent in perpetuity to the use of the sound

recordings, photographs, video tape, and illustrations taken during or in

connection with the Audition, in any and all applications including but not limited

to advertising, commercials, promotion, stories, text, articles, illustrations, copy

and commercial exploitation, in any and all media forms, including but not

limited to radio, broadcast and television, newspapers and magazines at any time

without the Participants further knowledge or consent.

18. Participants shall indemnify and hold MSM harmless from any claims, expenses,

damages or any other payments of any kind arising in any way out of the use of

Participants name, image, voice and likeness.

19. Employees, agents and promoters (including their immediate family members) of

MSM and Cineyug, and of its divisions, affiliates and subsidiaries, and others

associated with the Audition in any manner, are not eligible to participate in the

Audition.

20. MSM/Cineyug reserves their right to select and declare or not to declare the

Participants who are selected in the Auditions. No phone calls will be entertained

regarding the status of selection.

21. It is the responsibility of the selected Participants to make themselves available

for the subsequent three months of participation and in the event such selected

Participants do not show up for next stage of participation, MSM may, at its

discretion, afford another opportunity to appear or disqualify them.

22. Participants release MSM and its respective divisions, affiliates, subsidiaries,

branches, directors, officers, employees and agents, as well as all others

associated with the development and execution of the Auditions, from and against

any and all liability with respect to or in any way arising from this Auditions,

including liability for personal injury, except where prohibited or limited by law.

23. Notwithstanding any other provisions in this Agreement, MSM/Producer may, at

its sole and absolute discretion, hold additional Auditions on such other dates and

at such places as it may determine and the Participants shall adhere to and abide

by any and all instructions, requirements and timing stipulations as determined by

MSM/Producer and shall attend at any and all such additional Auditions.

MSM/Producer also reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of

Audition as contained herein and to alter or terminate the Audition at any time

without prior notice.

24. Non conformance of the rules & regulations including the terms & conditions

stated herein shall result in disqualification from participation in the Audition.

25. MSM shall be entitled to take necessary action for and against the Participants or

any interested/intended Participants for any misbehaviour and/or for creating any

unrest at the Venues on the day of the Auditions. Any disturbance, illegal or

unethical act in or outside the Venues and/or related to the Show will lead to

immediate disqualification.

26. By participating in the Audition each Participant agrees to follow and accept the

‘rules & regulations’ including the terms & conditions stated herein and to be

bound by any decisions made by MSM/Cineyug, including any interpretations of

these Audition rules & regulations.

27. It is a condition of entry and participation in the Audition/Show that the

Participants who wish to make themselves available to participate in the

Audition/Show, agree and sign up the Release Form and abide by terms and

conditions of such Release Form and the rules, regulations, terms and conditions

as devised from time to time by MSM/Producer. As part of Participants

contribution to the Show, MSM/Producer may request the Participants to

participate in any online/interactive activity relating to the Audition/Show

including without limitation recordings of web-casts, interviews and participation

in so-called ‘chat-rooms’.

28. It is a condition of entry and participation in the Audition/Show that the

Participant has not entered into any contractual, commercial, sponsorship

agreement (including but not limited to recording, performing and/or

merchandising contracts) or other arrangement for example with a management

company or an individual to act as the Participant’s manager in respect of his/her

musical or performing abilities or the products thereof or in respect of his/her

name, likeness, image or biography which might be in breach of the Release Form

or the Rules or otherwise prevent the Participant from participating in the

Audition/Show or the broadcast, promotion, exploitation or sponsorship thereof.

Each Participant is also required to refrain from wearing any clothing items

bearing designer or sports logos or bearing the name or likeness of a celebrity,

living or dead, during any part of the Audition/Show.

29. Auditions shall be void to the extent prohibited by law. All relevant national and

local laws apply. All disputes to be settled within the jurisdiction of the Courts in

Mumbai only.

Mona Wasu wins Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao

Mona Wasu has won the reality show Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao in the grand finale on Friday. Mona Wasu beat the other two finalists, TV actor Chetan Hansraj and pop singer Anaida, by a narrow margin of SMS votes. Mona Wasu won the prize money of Rs 1 crore and the title of Queen of the Jungle.

Mona Wasu (24) is a television star known for her roles in soaps such as Miilee and Radha Ki Betiyan Kuch Kar Dikheyngi. Mona Wasu victory came as surprise to many because many people felt that it would be difficult for a female contestant to match the stamina of her male while performing the difficult tasks in jungle.

Mona was the only female contestant to have won 10 out of 10 stars in jungle challenge tasks which she achieved by putting her head in 10 different glass chambers full of insects, scorpions, snakes and rats for a stipulated time period. In the Maha Challenge on Friday night’s concluding episode, the three finalists had to eat crawling insects, drink a juice made of eggs of fish and finally spend some time while taking a ‘bath’ in a jacuzzi full of slimy water with insects and scorpions.

Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao is the Indian version of the popular British reality show, I am a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!

Dance Premier League on Sony Television – Dance Talent Hunt

Dance Premier League on Sony Television will be the new Dance show starting this October which will be a dance talent hunt like Dance India Dance on Zee TV. Cineyug Entertainment and Sony have joined hands togather to produce this mega dance talent hunt show ‘Dance Premier League’.

Dance Premier League Auditions will begin from next week. There will be six regional zones participating in the show. The renowned dance expert Shiamak Davar will be the Guru who who will be giving a tip or two to the contestants. the nameds of the judges have not been finalized by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit have been approached to judge the show. The host of the show will be Sara Khan (Bidaai fame) and Eijaz Khan

Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, Bollywood actress and television star Laxmi has been arrested under child labour case for allegedly employing as maid of a 10-year-old child.The labour minister Nawab Malik said on Tuesday afternoon that his department got information that the two actors were employing minor girls as domestic helpers.Suchitra is the former wife of noted director Shekhar Kapur.

Urvashi Dhanorkar was also an another tv actress arrested 3 days back under the Juvenile Justice Act and the Child Labour Act.

The three children who were rescued, all of them under 14, were Naranthi, a Meghalaya girl working at Suchitra Krishnamoorthy’s house, Laila Khan from TV actor Laxmi’s house in Malad, and Shanti Vishwakarma who worked at Huma Khan’s house in Mira Road. The Child Labour Prevention Act, 1986, was amended October 2006 to ban employment of children under 14 as domestic servants and in dhabas, restaurants, hotels and other hospitality sectors. It makes their employment a punishable offence.

MUMBAI: Close on the heels of a national outrage over the brutal physical abuse of a 10-year-old maid allegedly by small-time TV actor Urvashi

Suchitra Krishnamoorthy faces heat over hiring minor as maid (TOI)

Dhanorkar, three more cases have surfaced.

These cases came to light at a Mantralaya review meeting on Tuesday. NGOs told the labour ministry that they had rescued children from the houses of actors Suchitra Krishnamoorthy, Laxmi and yesteryear heroine Huma Khan.

State labour secretary Kavita Gupta said: ‘‘These names were given to us by the NGOs who were present for the meeting in the Urvashi Dhanorkar case.’’ Krishnamoorthy has denied these allegations.

Gupta added: ‘‘The three children who were rescued, all of them under 14, were Naranthi, a Meghalaya girl working at Suchitra Krishnamoorthy’s house, Laila Khan from TV actor Laxmi’s house in Malad, and Shanti Vishwakarma who worked at Huma Khan’s house in Mira Road.’’

What’s surprising, though, is that the labour ministry was unable to give TOI the names of the NGOs who were responsible for bring these cases to light nor was it able to clarify the identity of the actor Laxmi. ‘‘I will give you the details of all these cases on Wednesday morning,’’ said Nawab Malik, state labour minister.

Prince Dance group an all-male group was awarded Rs 50 lakhs (Rs 5 million) in cash and and a swish newly-launched Maruti Suzuki Ritz car. With the win of Prince Dance group state of Orissa celebrated throughout the night on Sunday with fireworks lighting the sky.

About Prince Dance group

Prince Dance Group of Berhampur, an untrained lot largely daily wagers won the talent search reality show India’s Got Talent. It may be noted that this troupe is said to be comprised of youths of poor families of menial labourers who got together to use dance as entertainment and profession. Master of the group Krishna who was responsible to gather, bring up and train these slum children through these years at Harijan street of little known village located at the end of Berhampur city in Orissa. The slum children most of them from the labourers family and some do work as a daily labourers have proved the world that even the slum children could, with conviction and hard work, achieve what the rich aspire to achieve it.

What is suprrising is that whole of Orissa including chief minister, Mr Naveen Patnaik supported and voted for the Group. Different organisations, political parties as well as administrative officials had launched a campaign asking people to send as many SMS as possible to ensure victory of the dance group. Corporate houses, IAS officers and even the chief minister had joined the campaign. Critics are asking why the Government has spent so much of money as there are reports that public money was used to put the hoardings for support of group.

Great future ahead for Prince Dance group

There were several announcements for the troupe. A group announced 2,000 square feet plot for the Prince Dance Group in Puri while RSB Group of entrepreneurs announced an award of Rs 10 lakh for the troupe. The Oriya’s living in USA have proposed to invite this troupe to their convention next year so that they could perform in different part of north America, where chapters of the Oriya organisation exists.
