Rave party crosses limits in St. Mary’s Islands Karnataka

in St.Mary’s Islands crosses the limits near Malpe in Udupi district, chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda has ordered an inquiry started by regional commissioner.

India’s first Islands festival 2012, the 3-day rave party trouble, shocked the assembly on Feb 7th, 2012 with opponent congress looking for action against the officials.

Spring Zouk festival was organized by Udupi district administration with 3W concepts aiming it as tourism encouragement instrument on February 3rd.

Nearly 1000 foreigners and people from Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Goa and other parts of the country had participated in the festival. And 320 tents had been set up at the Island for the tourists. And 2 international bands also performed during the event.

The event was begun with an ugly affair as video footages showed a foreign couple in negotiation position while the party was going on.

Congress members Siddaramaiah, U T Kadher, Gopal Bhandary Abhay Chandra Jain required action against the officers and they alleged that drugs and narcotics were used by the foreigners and these festivals were not the culture of the country.

Congress members alleged that sale of liquor in the Island, nude and half nude women were seen, ganja in a party were supplied in the party.
