DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) has prepared for Faridabad metro and waiting for a date from the Haryana government for its signing. Extension of line 6 is to be the longest metro line in the NCR by the DMRC and it will be built in phase 3 in Faridabad.
Route length of 13.9 km clean put Faridabad in front of Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad. Total Metro network in Noida is 7km, Gurgaon 7.5km, Ghaziabad 2.57km.
Already DMRC has prepared for Faridabad metro and waiting for a date from the Haryana government for its signing. The central group of ministers had cleared the proposed corridor. This metro corridor with 9 stations, will be constructed on the corridorss of the Noida corridor.
Haryana government will bear 80% of the cost, and Delhi government will bear the remaining part. Delhi Metro said work on this corridor will be finished by 2016 and the closing date for completion of remaining corridors under phase 3.
According to reports, Haryana government will quickly start the process of acquiring land for this Rs. 2,540 crore project. DMRC has started the tender process for this corridor, so work can be immediately begun after land is acquired.
