Cyclone Thane to hit Andhra, TN coasts

Tamil Nadu (TN) weather is going to be a wet year as Cyclone Thane is to hit the Andhra on Friday morning. Chennai weather, this cyclone may hit the City on Friday, with heavy rain and severe storms.

TN Coasts: Expected wind speeds of up to 100kmph and alerts to the agencies concerned. Local meteorological department said the severe cyclonic storm was 720km east-southeast of Chennai on Tuesday evening and might cross the coast near Chennai if it retains its direction and strength.

According to reports, From Wednesday night, the city is likely to get rain, that may get more on Thursday and Friday. Regional meteorological department deputy director Y E A Raj said the storm was likely to enter the Chennai region between Cuddalore and Nellore.
