Kavita, daughter of TRS chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao, was arrested and shifted to Keesara police station.
And TRS chief’s son, TRS legislator K Taraka Rama Rao, TRS leaders and activists Joint Action Committee (JAC), were arrested at Sitaphalmandi in Secunderabad.
Also arrested 3 MPs of ruling Congress: Ponnam Prabhakar, G. Vivek and Rajaiah in Karimnagar and Warangal districts.
According to reports, TRS leader warned the Government of serious consequences if it continued to use police for committing excesses on people participating in the movement. The arrests were made across Telangana, which comprises 10 districts including Hyderabad. 110 Telangana supporters were arrested in Mahabubnagar district alone.
Already trains have cancelled 126 trains in the region for the 3 days rail boko called by JAC for the separate Telangana state. Railway department scheduled to run few trains not many trains.
State police & teh Railways have told Telangana supporters against blocking the trains, saying they would be arrested under the Railway Act. Director General of Police Dinesh Reddy has said those arrested under the act may even get life imprisonment.
