IT companies plan to recruit 3 lakh in this year 2011: Jobs for engineering graduates

companies start campus hiring and plan to recruit 3 lakh from across the country’s campuses this year. Campus will be there in the last semester, has been advanced to the seventh semester this year. Tech companies have started hiring engineering graduates from campuses in the past few days and have started issuing offer letters. This year the industry will make sure  good recruitment numbers as started the process in the seventh semester itself.

MNC companies offered :

 TCS has offered jobs: Tamil Nadu

  • 700 students of Thiagarajar College of Engineering in Madurai
  • 520 students of Velammal Group of institutions
  • 510 of Sairam Group of Colleges
  • 640 of RMK Group of Instuitutions

Cognizant has offered jobs:

  • 800 students of Anna University’s Guindy campus, Chennai
  • 700 students from PSG College in Coimbatore
  • 500 students of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi

Accenture has offered jobs:

  • 417 candidates from Sona College in Salem

Wipro has offered jobs:

  • 700 students of Amity

No effect of Us debt 2011 on placements:

Because of US debt many thought, in this year there is no recruitment for engineering graduates but there is no effect of US debt on placements also a record it is better than the previous year 2010.

According to sources, Pay packages offered by companies will, however, remain at last year level of Rs. 3.25 lakh a year for these engineers. “We are not revising that this year,” an industry official said.
