According to reports, Karnataka Lokyayukta has recommended the prosecution of Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa under the prevention of corruption act. The Yeddyurappa family has been accused of taking bribes from mining companies. And the Reddy brothers are likely to be asked to pay up for loss to exchequer.
BS Yeddyurappa hopes on Lord Venkateshwara Swami about his bail, Yeddyurappa went to Temple of Lord Venkateshwara at Tirupathi for prayer; even government announced new Lokayukta in place of Santosh Hegde.
According to sources, Former Karnataka Chief Minister Kumaraswamy and Congress MP Anil Lad, JD-S leader (for granting leases illegally to mining company) have also been named in the report. Few leaders from Congress party are named in the report, there is a problem at Congress because its Rajya Sabha MP and mining magnate Anil Lad has also being named in the report.
According to reports, Justice Santosh Hegde says, without any action from Supreme Court, Karnataka government won’t take any decision. I have mentioned that there is a possibility of threat to the officials considering the work they have done. And the report will be submitted by today afternoon.
