Arunachal Chief Minister (CM) Dorjee Khandu dead due to Chopper crash, which is found in Lobothong near Tawang District. As the helicopter Pawan Hans AS350 B-3 has been take offed from Tawang at 9.50 am on April 30, 2011 and has to arrive at 11.30 am in Itanagar, but a tragedy placed in middle that Dorjee Khandu Arunachal Pradesh CM Passed Away as his crashed chopper found.
According to Sources, External affairs minister SM Krishna today consoled towards Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Dorjee Khandu, who has been passed away.
He further said: “In his (Khandu) death, the state and country has lost a visionary administrator and an excellent human being. I would like to convey my heartfelt consolences to members of his family and friends.
Mr Chidambaram said that villagers in the area had communicated to a control room in Itanagar that three of the five dead bodies found were charred beyond recognition. In addition to Mr Khandu, villagers were able to identify Yeshi Lhamu, the sister of Tawang MLA Tsewang Dhondup. The Chief Minister’s body will later be moved to Itanagar.
Along with Arunachal Chief Minister (CM) Dorjee Khandu, Captain J S Babbar, Captain T S Mamik, the Chief Minister’s security officer Yeshi Choddak and Yeshi Lhamu, the sister of Tawang MLA Tsewang Dhondup were dead due to this crash.
