Shaan : Shaan Indian playback singer
Shaan (born Shantanu Mukherjee on September 30, 1972). Shaan is a renowned Indian playback singer and television host. Shaan is not only an accomplished playback singer,but also has released many successful albums like Tanha Dil and Aksar. Apart from Hindi songs, Shaan has also given his voice to many hit Bengali, Telugu and Tamil film songs. He was the host for the popular show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa from 2000–2006 and also for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs. Shaan is also the host for another popular reality show called Star Voice of India. He is currently hosting the sequel to Star Voice of India, Star Voice of India 2 and was runner up of an extremely popular show called “Music Ka Maha Muqabla” in 2009-2010.
His song “Chand Sifarish” from the movie Fanaa (2006) and “Jab se Tere Naina” from Saawariya won the Filmfare Best Male Playback Award and the Zee Cine Award Best Playback Singer – Male apart from receiving several other nominations. In 2000 he won the MTV Asia Music Award for best solo album for his album Tanha Dil. Shaan won Best TV Music Director award, for creating the music of the Zee TV show, Lipstick . In 2010 Shaan won Best Male Playback Award for ”Behti Hawa Sa Tha Wo” from 3idiots.

I feel personally that every song he sings with full passion and the core from his heart. I liked his beautiful attitude towards the contestants of various music talent hunt shows as an anchor.And his beautiful smily face expresses his gentle and matured character.Recently one of his bengali Rabindra Sangeet album” KHOLA HAWA ” shown his versatilityas a singer and i wish him all sucess in his forthcoming days.
