Ishrat Jahan was Lashkar fidayeen said Pakistani American terrorist David Headley to Indian National Investigation Agency interrogators.
According to reports David Headley has told Indian interrogators that Ishrat Jahan who was a resident of Mumbra in Thane (Mumbai) was recruited by top Lashkar commander Muzammil. Muzammil who was in charge of LeT’s operations in India till 2007. It can be noted that around the same time David Headley visited India as well as was in touch with other LeT operatives.
It may be noted that both Gujarat police and Central Police forces are facing flack over the police version about the encounter in which Ishrat Jahan was killed.
