TCS salary hike 2010 has been declared with TCS q4 results. TCS has decided to give salary hike during FY 2010-2011. However the exact amount of salary TCS salary increment is yet to be decided.
TCS employees have been living with no salary hikes for last one year due to recession. It seems that good times are here again for 1,50,000 TCS employees. TCS salary hike 2010 has been annouced after Infosys has done so recently -following the trend in market.
Ajoy Mukherjee TCS global head of HR said that TCS has decided to give salary increments during financial FYE March 2011. Here is a summary of what he indicated:
The company will maintain the salary structure it moved to in FY10 that is:
Quarterly variable component + Annual variable component
There are speculations among employees as to what will be the hike. However some unconfirmed sources peg the hike to be be between 10 to 15% across the board.

All tcs’ers are deeply hurt by the meager hike, avg. 10%. that too this % is dependent varies from business to business units. ppl who got promoted will hv their new salary only after staying in that grade for 1 year. makes no sense. reallly bull shit. aftr slugging for long 2 years with no hike this came along as a shock. m sure atleast 10K tcs’ers will leave in d month of may/june including me too.

I agree with you. All our grades got depromoted. 3 yrs guys are depicted as “trainees” and 2 yr employees got the letter as “ASE”. This is ridiculus. None of the IT companies did a cunning move like this. I am 200% sure that there will be a huge attrition in forthcoming months.

TCS is one of the companies, which ticks the right boxes in terms of getting publicity, but actually does nothing to really benefit the employees!!! To give you examples:
- You get promotion, but your Variable Allowance does not change to the new grade till you finish one year! and this time it is ELAPSED 1 year since promotion.
–The earliest people got promotion last year was July, so they will not get new grade Variable Allowance for another 3 months. So in effect they pay new grade VA only for 3/4 of the year.. smart managment.
-They say only 10-11% attrition. well 10-11% of 140000 is 14000 people, who left last year.. these would be the better ones in terms of quality/ capability/ experience. So doing all these third rate tactices it is hurting itself. nothing else!
-while most people on the ground seem to have got 2-10% hike, I am sure the mangement would have given themself a massice hike, which would have got the increment averages up for tcs records and publicity!
-Guess most people who are really good in TCS, will start leaving the company slowly..

I wonder how these guys sleep at night after doing this to employees who have been loyal to TCS for so long. Do they not realise that they are ill treating the very employees that makes it possible for TCS to show the high revenues?

Yes , i am also hurted with all this bullshit done by TCS .I though this company takes care of their employees , but i was wrong and now i will surely switch to other comany , i think i am taking this decison too late , i should have done this long before , i though i’ll get someting good in this appraisal .

TCS says that they have give n salary hike of 10 % .
But it is absolutely myth and on actual ground they have give only 6 % to me .
I am sure they have given higher hikes to Higher grade people.
