Tata Indicom has launched Blackberry in India

Tata Indicom has launched Prepaid Blackberry in India. Tata Indicom has launched its first of its kind in India – prepaid services for Blackberry users. The BlackBerry users of Tata Indicom now have the option to switch to a cheaper prepaid plan or the new users of prepaid plan can avail Blackberry services on a weekly basis.

BlackBerry is fast becoming the medium of choice of consumers. Unlike earlier when only business users used to subscribe to BlackBerry, now the consumers are showing equal interest in BlackBerry services. This move from Tata Indocom will sure change the way people will be using the communication in India.

According to press release from Tata Indicom BlackBerry Messaging Bundle service plan, customers will get unlimited access to e-mail and instant messaging. The Tata Indocom Blackberry allows customers to access as many e-mail accounts on Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, Google Mail and chat on popular messengers like Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk and Yahoo Messenger.

Tata Indicom BlackBerry Plans

There are two service plans,

BlackBerry Messaging Bundle

• Only for messaging
• Monthly package of Rs 299
• weekly package of Rs 85

BlackBerry Internet Bundle

• Can be used for e-mail, instant messaging, social networking and Internet browsing
• Monthly package of Rs 900
• Weekly package of Rs 250

Tata Indicom Blackberry Phone Models

Four different models are launched:

• BlackBerry 8703e for Rs 9,990.
• BlackBerry Curve 8330 priced at Rs 15,990.
• BlackBerry 8830 World Edition, rated Rs 17,000.
• BlackBerry Tour 9630, priced at Rs 27,990.
