Following are the Highlights:

  • 1000 new Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) to be opened under Public Private Pratnership (PPP )in rural areas.
  • Rs 5 cr Sanskrit University in Bangalore
  • Rs 25 cr for improving roads in Coorg
  • Rs 425 cr to develop new areas under BBMP.
  • Rs 250 cr for widening of all state highways.
  • 4 lane highway between Hubli – Dharwad at the cost of Rs 50 Crores.
  • Better drainage system promised for Bangalore.
  • 1 per cent Hike in VAT from the next Financial year.
  • Life time tax for cars and bikes to go up.
  • Rs 2 cr allotted for Solar Lamp subsidy.
  • Industrial Export center at Mysore.
  • Rs 3000 cr for development of roads and flyovers in Bangalore.
  • 13 pc Tax on vehicles priced above 5 Lakhs.
  • 15 pc Tax on Tobacco products.
  • Rs 15,440 Crores for Steel Zone in Bellary
  • 8% increase in luxuary tax
  • Rs 8, 830 cr allotted for primary education
  • New Agricultural University in Shimoga
  • 1,000 acres for districts to build industrial townships
  • Rs 583 cr for urban development
  • Rs 1,000 cr for 1,000 villages
