Hyundai Motors unveiled its electric version of Hyundai i10 electric popular Hyundai i10 on the second day of 10th Auto Expo 2010 by Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan.The new Hyundai i10 electric has been powered by 49kw electric motor while the company has used the same lithium-ion battery pack, which is used in mobile phones. The power of battery is 16 kWh where electricity will be stored.This electric variant of i10 is powered by 49KW electric motor which will deliver the maximum power of 67Kw and maximum torque of 21.4Kg.

The car has come up with dual battery charging option with normal charging duration of 5 hours. Company officials has announced its commercial launch by 2011 in Indian market though its production of Hyundai has already begun in Korea.
