Amar Singh (53) has resigned from Samajwadi Party posts after choosing health over Mulayam Singh Yadav. In a communication from Dubai he has cited health reasons as the cause of his rsignation and not the increased differences with party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav
Amar Singh has resigned as national general secretary, spokesman and member of the Samajwadi Party parliamentary board. “I have resigned from all the three posts with immediate effect and I have faxed my resignation to Mulayam Singh Yadav,” said Amar Singh.
According to Amar Singh there is no political motive or there are no differences with the Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav. He indicated that he is resigning “strictly as per the advice of my doctors, who have asked me to take complete rest as I have just undergone a major kidney transplant operation.”
Though the kidney transplant operation took place in Singapore three months why he has chosen now to resign is still debated.
