Many politicians from coastal Andhra and Rayalseema region in K Rosiah led congress government in Andhra Pradesh are opposing the move by congress high command of formation of Telangana. Lakadapati Rajagopal Member of Parliament from Vijayawada constituency of Andhra Pradesh has been most vocal in opposing the move. The state leadership including CM Rosaiah and D Srinivas PCC chief does not seems to be happy with this whole Lagadapati Rajagopal affair. By taking this more Lagadapati Rajagopal is trying to create a separate image for himself and projecting himself as a leader of masses like YS Rajsekhar Reddy.
Lagadapati Rajagopal might have seen this as an opportunity to become a leader at state level filling the vaccume created after the death of YSR and failure of new CM Rosaiah in controlling the state politics. By doing this Lagadapati Rajagopal is creating a third camp in Andhra congress after Jagan and Rosaiah.
Rajagopal Lagadapati aged 45 is a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India representing Vijayawada constituency in Andhra Pradesh on Indian National Congress ticket. He is an engineer who turned industrialist, is the Founder Chairman of LANCO Group.
