Renuka Chowdhury office burned by Telangana workers (TRS)

Renuka Chowdhury office has been burned by Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) workers at Khammam in Andhra Pradesh. Renuka Chowdhury is former union minister for Women and Child Welfare and is known for her opposition to demand of separate Telangana.

According to reports doors and windows of the office were damaged by fire when the TRS workers have thrown the petrol on it and burned it. The fire is now under control.

TRS workers are protesting the arrest of party president K. Chandrasekhara Rao (KCR) who is continuing his ‘fast unto death’ in a government-run hospital in Khammam demanding a separate Telangana. The main demand of TRS is to break away from Andhra Pradesh and form a separate Telangana state as they feel that the region is neglected for long.

Earlier there were even rumors that KCR tried to commit suicide in Police custody which was denied by Police.
