Sanjay Somani industrialist & Managing Director of a 1000 crore company arrested for stealing blackberry at airport

Sanjay Somani or Sanjay Somany  51 years old Managing Director of Hindustan National Glass and Industries Limited, was caught last evening at the airport for allegedly stealing a high-end mobile phone of a passenger when he returned from Chennai.

According to reports a probe was done into the complaint by one N K Puri, who claimed early on Monday morning that his blackberry phone had been stolen from inside the airport premises just before he boarded his Mumbai bound flight. Soon airport authorities checked the CCTV footage and discovered that a person wearing a blue attire picking up a phone during the security check process at the airport. The person in blue attire was identified later as Sanjay Somani or Sanjay Somany.

Shri Sanjay Somany is Managing Director of Hindustan National Glass and Industries Limited. a Kolkota based company. According to website of company Mr. Sanjay Somany is a Commerce Graduate and has obtained a diploma in Diesel Engineering and has vast knowledge of the Glass Manufacturing Technology. At present he is the Managing Director of the Company. He is the Ex-Managing Director of M/s. Glass Equipment (India) Limited a Subsidiary of the Company and has an experience of around 26 years in the glass industry. He is an expert in glass technology and is closely involved in the management and administration of the Company. He was the past president of All India Glass Manufacturers’ Federation.

It seems Mr. Sanjay Somani or Sanjay Somany had kept the phone in the toilet of the aircraft.
