Chevrolet Cruze India launch

Chevrolet Cruze India launch happened today. For sometime a teaser campaign was going on by General Motors Chevrolet and today finally Chevrolet Cruze launch in India happened. Chevy Cruze India is the luxury sedan from General Motors with ex-showroom price of Rs 10.99 lakh to Rs 12.45 lakh in New Delhi.

Here are some highlights of Chevrolet Cruze India

• Chevrolet Cruze
• Luxury Sedan (D-segment)
• 2.0 litre turbocharged common rail diesel engine from the Captiva SUV
• 140 bhp 1.8 litre petrol variant
• 112 bhp 1.6 Litre 4 cylinder petrol,
• Mileage of 18.3 kilometre per litre

For some time a teaser campaign was going on by General Motors Chevrolet with a car coming out of a tunnel which was Chevrolet Cruze. Even the car was profiled in Big Boss 3.

Chevrolet Cruze has been recieved rave reviews in other markets and General Motors India expect it to perform well against the established D-segment players in India according to Managing Directory Karl Slym. In India, the Cruze will compete against Honda Civic, Skoda Octavia, and Toyota Corolla which are also positioned in the upper midsize segment.

The pre- launch bookings of the car according to reports has reached 1,100 units – a new standard in this segment.
