Mahavatar babaji cave visited by Rajinikanth – performed babaji kriya yoga
Mahavatar babaji cave was recently visited by Tamil superstar Rajinikanth who has performed babaji kriya yoga. Some of Rajini kanth babaji photos are here for our readers.
Mahavatar Babaji is the name given to an Indian saint by Lahiri Mahasaya and several of his disciples who met Mahavatar Babaji between 1861 and 1935. Some of these meetings were described by Paramahansa Yogananda in his book Autobiography of a Yogi (1946), including a first hand telling of Yogananda’s own meeting with Mahavatar Babaji.
Mahavatar Babaji’s given name and date of birth are not known, so those who met him during that period all called him by the title first given to him by Lahiri Mahasaya. “Mahavatar” means “great avatar”, and “Babaji” simply means “revered father”. Lahiri Mahasaya wrote in his diary that Mahavatar Babaji was Lord Krishna.
Kriya Yoga revived by Mahavatar babaji
Babaji revives Kriya Yoga, which Siddha Patanjali refers to in his famous “Yoga-Sutras.” Patanjali wrote his classic text of yoga about the 3rd century A.D. In it he defines Kriya Yoga in II.1 as “constant practice (particularly by the cultivation of detachment), self-study and devotion to the Lord.” However, along with what Patanjali described as Kriya Yoga, Babaji added the teachings of the tantra, which includes the cultivation of “kundalini,” the great potential power and consciousness, through the use of breathing, mantras and devotional practices. His modern synthesis of “Kriya Yoga,” includes a rich variety of techniques. It was in 1861 that Babaji initiated Lahiri Mahasaya into his powerful Kriya Yoga system.
Kriya Yoga pilgrimage is conducted in south India every year which was attended by sevearl film stars and foreigners.

Baba is an example in life
Do not follow. Understand him. Read the book “Autobiography of a yogi” to get an idea.
Understand your self is basic. Visiting cave will not yield anything unless you have a feeling of detachment with things around you. (Magnets,only when apart-detached , have more attachment). If you have more wish for other things, do not crave for people like baba’s cave.
If you wnat to know nature vist Himalaya or at least upto Deva prayag (where from Ganga starts when Alakananda and Bhagirathi joins- 70Kms from Rishikesh).

Have heard and came to know about it around mideighties. Have used Babaji’s name and prayed to him and instant help came. Guidance comes in the form of taking the right decisions whenever one asks for it from Babaji, Lahiri Mahasaya, Yukteshwargiri or Yogananda. It is really amazing.

I’ve started practicing the engergy excercises + meditation to start Kriya Yoga. Its awesome experience. Believe me the Brahmacharies from Ananda who taught us told it will be great experience. It’s very true. Pls all of U reading this practice meditation. I’m seeing & feeling Babaji, Lahiri Mahasaya, Sri Yukteswar ji & Yoganandaji within me. Pls read Yoganandaji’s Autobiography. Its just great. I cant express in words.

My mum and my family visits the Mahavatar Babaji ashrem in Bangalore and my mum and family want to go to Varnasy. And also wants to go and vist one of Babajis coves and meditate in it {Mahavatar means great avatar} {babaji means Revered father}.
