Ranjan Acharya passes away – was Wipro’s corporate vice president

Ranjan Acharya (full name Ranjan N. Acharya) corporate vice president, Human resources of Wipro Ltd has passed away on July 15, Wednesday 2009 at 6pm.

Ranjan Acharya was a member of the Executive Council (CEC) of Wipro which is the think tank for Wipro Corporation. Ranjan Acharya was also the Convener for the Strategic Leadership Development Council under the guidance of the Chairman of Wipro Mr. Azim Premji.

Ranjan N. Acharya institutionalized many leadership and management development initiatives, apart from guiding the PCMM process at both Wipro Technologies and Wipro Infotech. His work at Wipro will always be rememberd as path breaking. He was among the 21 professionals in the world to be certified by SEI and CarnegieMellon as a PCMM Lead Assessor.

Ranjan N. Acharya was a B.S. from Pune University and an M.B.A from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (1980). Ranjan Acharya started his career with TELCO (Pune) in 1980 and then moved to Wipro Infotech in 1982.
