Even China has riots and ethnic violence – learning from India?

Even China has riots and ethnic violence. If you thought that a communist country like China does not have any riots or ethinic violence – you are wrong. The recent riots and ethinic violence between the minority Uighur people who are Muslims and majority ethnic Han Chinese (buddhists) in Xinjiang proves that.  Xinjiang is a sprawling region three times the size of Texas that shares borders with Pakistan, Afghanistan and other Central Asian countries.

But unlike India – the Chines authorities deal with riots and ehinic voilence with an iron hand. Like they have arrested more than 1,400 people, Police forces are immediately called and communication links are broken. For example the mobile phone service and the social networking site Twitter have been blocked, and Internet links also were cut or slowed down.

I hope they are not learning about riots and ethnic violence from India? But India can sure learn about how to handle riots and ethinic violence from China.
