Government Arts and Science Colleges and Colleges of Education – 2008-09

TRB results
Teachers Recruitment Board notified 1195 Vacancies for the post of Lecturers in Government Arts & Science Colleges and Colleges of Education and Called applications for 37 subjects from the candidates. Certificate Verifications have been conducted for 30259 candidates in 6 Regions across Tamilnadu for which all the candidates who applied have been called. After the CV, weightage marks have been awarded for all the eligible candidates for educational qualifications, teaching experience and for the refereed books & articles published.
Among the candidates who have attended the CV, 5930 candidates short-listed on the basis of marks obtained during certificate verification duly following communal reservation and handicapped reservation and called for Interview in the ratio of 1:5. For this purpose, 50 Interview Boards were constituted comprising of Principals / Professors / Head of Department/ Senior Lecturers of various Government colleges as co-opted Members and with senior Lecturers as Subject Experts who have been nominated by the Directorate of Collegiate Education. The interviews were held from 8-6-2009 to 12-6-2009 in Chennai where in 5638 candidates attended.
The merit-cum-communal roster of candidates provisionally selected for appointment, based on total marks obtained by the Candidate (weightage marks awarded in the Certificate Verification + the marks awarded in the Interview), duly following the communal rotation and reservations for physically disabled persons, is now released for the following subjects as first phase.

I have been working as a lecturer in English in a self financing college form 1989. I completed M.Phil before 1993. In the last two TRB recruitments I lost the privelege of getiing the govt. job by one point. Kindly send us clarifications regarding the next recruitment and the future of M.Phil 1993.
In this regard we request for a public clarification which would reduce our anxiety.
