Tata nano booking, Tata nano draw complete – check your booking status
Tata Motors has announced that it has completed the process to select the first 100,000 owners of the Tata Nano from among the 2,06,703 final list of applicants who had booked the car. As announced at the launch on March 23, the first 100,000 owners were selected through a computerised random selection process. The company had said that the process would be completed within 60 days of the closure of booking on April 25.

What will happen to unsuccessful applicants?
The booking process had also given the option to applicants to indicate whether they would like to retain their booking amounts with the company, even if they do not get selected among the first 100,000 allottees, and await delivery of their cars after them. 67% (137,867) applicants had chosen this option, from which a further 55,021 retainees have been made allotments. The booking amounts of the unsuccessful applicants, who had not exercised this option, will be returned.
When will be the deliveries to successful applicants?
Deliveries will begin from July 2009 and the first 100,000 deliveries are expected to be completed by the last quarter of 2010. Tata Motors reconfirms that the first 100,000 owners are price-protected, and will get their Tata Nano at the ex-showroom prices, announced at launch on March 23.
What about the The Retainees
The deliveries to the 55,021 retainees will begin after the first 100,000 deliveries.

My UIN is 113837156. I have not been allotted NANO. Full booking amount Rs. 140000/- was deposited along with an extra cancellation cheque to SBI for facilitating early refund. No option for retaining booking was given. As on 5th Aug amount has not been refunded despite several chasing to call center and dealer. Can you address, why retaining of booking? Delay in refund? Such unnecessary botheration?

I cancelled my TATA NANO booking on 30.09.2009 and as informed waited for 30days but on 30th day i.e. 30.10.2009 i get a call from TATA Pune office asking for my account number, name, address and other details and when i ask the executive why he is taking all the details now, when i was supposed to recv my refund cheque he says sorry and informs me that i will recv my refund chq in 10days. After waiting for 10days i call the call centre and lodge a complaint and below are the facts and i am still waiting for the refund cheque. Today it is 19.11.2009. It is one month 20days. Still waiting…………..

My unique identification number is 113424367.I received a telephonic call from your sambalpur dealer namely Maa Samaleswari Auto to take delivery of the nano and got a sms also that the vehicle is despatched for delivery .I have been advised to Mr.Prasanna phone number 9556365549 but despite of my several requests he played with me for last five days and till now did not delivered me my nano although assuring me that the vehicle is with him and only administrative formally which he has taken will take few minites after which the vehicle will be delivered and harassing me knowing fully that my only son’s marriage will b held within a week.After I failed I have sent him sms to cancel my booking and refund me my money.I request you to cancell my booking refunf me my amount if you can not punish him and if the vehicle is not delivered to within a day.

I’m using office computer. Having left UIN # at home. hope it can betraced with name + my addr: 106 VIGYAN bldg, sector 17, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. I got SMS on 09869485455 of delivery ready; however, in all letters no New Bombay dealer name given. Only Jaika Motors was given, but they told me from Amaravati they’ve no outlet here.
SORRY, I’m 78 yr old scientist. &’ve to go tomorrow for 3 Int’l Conferences in S India lasting 4 weeks. In your letter 15 aug deadline for protection from further price increase is very unfair when you have NOT given me local dealer name. Pl allow me to take deliv by Sept end without extra price.
