Last time cut off for general was 51(33%)
and only 3000 seats were filled.
So what u guess??

Infact all candidates above 33% were qualified.
The paper last time was

objective(1 marks)-70 ques
2 marks questions= 30 ques

this time paper was almost numerical based..every one doesnt have capability to solve.
For people its very easy to remeber objective

If You cross 60 marks this time alongwith indivisual cut off..Surely qualified.

how can we predict cutoff marks.
some of our friends got marks like this

2.40-23-10
3.24-34-8.5

i think from the last jto examinations these are following analysis
those who are got
>100marks sure to get rank<100
50% -90: 100-200 rank
40%: 72: 32-32-8 –200-700
35%: 63: 28-28-7–
33%:60: 26.5-26.5-6
30%:54:24-24-6

from aboveanalysis most them lies in between 60-72 marks. above mentioned our friends may not selected because of section wise cutoff. but another got marks 24-24-8 with OBC. probably he is in final list.

i think ,
those who are got 40% section wise they are in safe zone. 30-33% are the least possibilities.
cat: obc can reduce marks 2-2-1 only.

I think eveeyone here is making just guesses.nobody knows what to expect as no of candidates were too large this time(27 lakhs) and also no of marka 180 as compared to 150 last year.so nobody knows about the cut off.

Hey, the pesons who hv posted the expected cut-offs r all freakn they r jst guessing.. Firstly, we should consider that ths tme, thr wre 30 ques of 2 marks each in 2 sections as cmprd to prev papers, therefore automatically cut-off will be low as solving 2 marks questn needs time n in-depth knowledge. Some r saying tht ths tme paper weightage ws 180 marks, thrfore cut-off will be high ranging frm 60-65 , ths cant be possible
If u wll see the feasible option, cut-ffs wl be near Bsnl-2008 exm only, that is, around 51.
Thus, in my knowledge, the cut-offs wll be around:
50- 54 for GEN
and individual sections cut-off wll be:
1-20 or 21 ( as ths section ws tough as compared to sectn 2
2-23 or 24
3-6 or 7

i think this year paper was a bit tough as compared to last year.
as there were 60 questions of 2 marks and therefore more time consuming.

According to the sources the JTO Results 2009 will be declared by september fourth week or october 1st week

In my view cut off for tele should be
for GEN-24 24 6 and overall 60
for OBC-21 21 5.5 and overall 47.5
for SC/ST-18.5 18.5 4.75 and overall 41.75

Above analysis is based on previous result.
last year result was declared on last week of oct.This time it may come on Ist week of november.

i think u r true.as per my friend circle no one is in final selection list.I am from OBC getting 78.5 marks total (40 % ) in each section GK 8.5 .and one of friend getting 98 marks even his name too is not in final list.

in english language there are certain words like university,prison etc.where we cant use article before that word…these words are exeptional words…am damp sure abt it since a british lecturer actually told this to me..and even i hav read it in book related to articles

hello i think opposite of miserly is “spendthrift” ,bcoz all other options have same meaning.and u cant use article befoe university only when it is used for its purpose eg.she went to university to study .but in our qustion the ans is “the”.

1)he went to hospital.

sent 1) gives a primary intension that he went to hospital mainly for treatment.its the primary intension.
sent 2) gives the idea that he went to hospital for treatment or as well as cleaning the hospital or for any other purposes…its a secondary intension.

so THE is used only along with a sentences that gives secondary intension.

today i rechecked use of articles, prepositions etc and found ms word underlining in green in case of wrong use. U may check it by placing ‘an’ before University or in one-eyed question.

i did that already, but i did again and found that if u place ‘over’ before tea ms word underlines in green and then on right-clicking it suggests ‘to.’ Therefor correct answer is to and not over.
