University of Calicut is The Leading Educational University in Kerala was established in 1968.Membership: The University is a member of The Association of Indian Universities (AIU).Jurisdiction: The University caters to the students of Kozhikode, Thrissur, Malappuram, Palakkad and Wayanad districts.

University of Calicut situated in a panoramic plateau, in sylvan surroundings, on either side of the N.H.17, about 24kms south of Kozhikode city, Kerala, India, the campus has an ideal natural environment for education. The University main campus is at Thenjipalam, near to Calicut.The University has two Centers, one at Trichur, and another one at Calicut. University of Calicut is a premier institution for studies and research in the sciences, the humanities and the arts.

The University aims at developing technical and technological education, conducting research and training in the social sciences and languages, and promoting the arts and culture specific to Kerala With 105 colleges affiliated to the University.
