Controller of Defence Accounts (Officers) – CDAO Pune was set up in 1939 as an establishment of the Department of Defence Accounts, under the Ministry of Defence (Finance). Controller of Defence Accounts (Officers) – CDAO is responsible for audit and payment of pay and allowances and all personal claims, including Travel Allowances and Leave Travel Concessions, of all officers of Indian Army.
The pay accounts of Military Nursing Officers , Officers in the Territorial Army and also civilian gazetted officers of the Military Engineering Services serving with Army units and formations located in the field areas are also maintained by this office. CDAO also processes pension papers of retiring army officers and forwards such papers to The Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Pensions) at Allahabad.
The Controller of Defence Accounts (Officers) also maintains residual pay accounts of retired army officers and officers on deputation to other departments in its Archives Section and renders all assistance to such officers as called upon for.
The officers can get the details regarding Salary, HBA, DSOPF, Receipt of Claims, etc.
