The list of Top ten tax payers of the Bollywood in the financial year 2008-09 has few surprises this year. One of the surprising entry is for Rajesh Khanna who paid Rs 6.87 crore much above Amitabh Bachchan. Akshay Kumar has beaten Shah Rukh Khan by a meagre amount which shows the rising popularity of the action hero.

2. Shah Rukh Khan – Rs 30.99 crore
3. Salman – Rs 14 crore
4. Saif Ali – Rs 8.6 crore
5. Rajesh Khanna – Rs 6.87 crore
6. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan – Rs 4.7 crore
7. Kareena Kapoor – Rs. 3.7 crore
8. Abhisek Bachchan – Rs 3.2 crores
9. Himesh Reshammiya – Rs 3 crore
10. Amitabh Bachchan – Rs 1.25 crore
