Varun Gandhi faces tough action from Election Commission – BJP and mom Maneka Gandhi keep quite

Election Commission on Wednesday slapped notices on Varun Gandhi and BJP seeking their response by Friday for his inflamatory speech. Also ordered video tracking of his entire campaign.

Varun Gandhi has to respond to Election Commission by appearing in front of them on March 20th. If proved guilty he may face the ban from contesting the election.

EC suspends 2 Pilibhit officials, transfers 2 others: The Election Commission on Wednesday suspended two senior officials of Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh and transferred two others on the charge of failing to act against Varun Gandhi for his alleged inflammatory speech.

It can be recalled that Varun Gandhi son of maneka and late Sanjay Gandhi and grandson of Indira Gandhi has allegedly made communal remarks.
