IT services major Tech Mahindra is in final stages of discussions to acquire Bangalore based niche telecom solutions startup company Sloka Telecom.
According to reports the 2004 established tech start-up, Sloka Telecom, may be acquired for Rs 30-35 crore. However the final confirmation is yet to be coming from players.
Sloka Telecom provides solutions in the areas of fixed WiMax, Mobile WiMax and 3G. The company claimed that its patent pending technology architecture gives price advantage in making smaller and cheaper telecom base stations primarily finding application in the semi-urban and rural areas. The company is winner of latest Nasscom Innovation Award 2008. The company is led by Sujai Karampuri, founder and CEO of Sloka Telecom.
