PAN Card – Want to know PAN number of someone?
Do not have PAN Card but – Want to know PAN number of someone? It seems PAN number is not a confidential information and you can know the PAN number of anyone just if you know the (1) full name and (2) date of birth of person.
And you can check this online without breaking any law or rule as the information is available openly in India at the Income Tax Department’s website

Permanent Account Number (PAN) is a ten-digit alphanumeric number, issued in the form of a laminated card, by the Income Tax Department in India. It is mandatory to quote PAN on return of income, all correspondence with any income tax authority. From 1 January 2005 it will be mandatory to quote PAN on challans for any payments due to Income Tax Department.
