Web of 3G in India is spreading. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) today has launched its 3rd Generation, or 3G, mobile services in Agra, Dehradun, Jammu, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Lucknow, Shimla, Patna, Ranchi, Haldia, and Durgapur. Large full page advertiesments were out in leading daily newspapers across India. Earlier this month, the state-owned telecom service provider rolled out its 3G services in Chennai.
It mat be recalled that MTNL was first to launch it 3G Jadoo Mobile Services in India at Delhi.
Under 3G services the subscribers will be able to enjoy mobile data transfer speeds of 2 mbps from the present 144 kbps which will help them in video screening of calls, video on demand, mobile surveillance, live TV, movie downloads, and more as and when BSNL supports it.

BSNL has also tied up with Nokia, Sony and Samsung for handset bundling, the cheapest of 3G handset is available at Rs.7,000.
What is surprising that these amaller cities are 3G equipped while countries financial capital Mumbai is still waiting for its turn?
