Bal Thakrey says Mhada flats only for Marathis
As per reports Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray said Marathi people should get “at least” 80% of these houses.
It is to be noted that Mumbai Housing Area Development Authority (MHADA) is planning a lottery for over 850 flats in Mumbai for which over 5 lakh applications are recieved.
This again the issue of “marathi Manas” is raised by Mr Thackeray. Earlier Raj Thackeray was very vocal on this subject. With elections round the corner we will see more such divisive statements.
Logically people get domicile status of a state in 5 years and that has been trend all over the country. There are apprehensions that if this trend catches up then local parties in other states also demand such moves and this will further divide the country. We feel the supreme court should take a view on this and end all further statements by politicians on such issues. We were divided by English earlier and since then by our politicians.

The above statement is very true. Mumbai is a place comprising of people belonging to different religion and economy of Mumbai is gained fom all and and not only Marathi people. Every one in the society should get an equal rights. I hope our law will be with the people and not with a single politician.

balasaheb should enquire whether there are only marathis in heaven otherwise it will be hard for him to be among other people after death.
